RESUME:
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor in the athletic department, perform specific maintenance tasks related to the gymnasium, tennis courts, and surrounding grounds. Perform general oversight and maintenance duties related to sports science and athletic facilities.
IMPORTANT FEATURES:
Sweeping, scrubbing, cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, mopping (gym), washing up of assigned areas both inside and outside the facilities.
Maintenance and repair of sports equipment and sports equipment.
Assembly and disassembly of equipment for sporting events and fitness classes. Sets and manages schedules for this activity based on consultation with educators and trainers and specific classroom needs.
Collection and delivery of supplies or equipment as required.
Train students and give them work.
Participate in and organize sporting events as required, in accordance with NCAA regulations.
Responsible for minor maintenance and repair of sports and athletics facilities.
Responsible for washing towels and sportswear.

• Appropriate methods, materials, tools and equipment used in supervision work.
• Requirements to keep school buildings in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
• Modern cleaning methods including basic methods for cleaning and preserving floors, panels, carpets, furniture, walls and upholstery.
• Special methods and materials for cleaning and preserving wooden floors in gyms.
• Safety requirements and methods for handling bloodstained materials and equipment.
• NCAA regulations and requirements regarding facilities and equipment.
• Special equipment requirements for physical education classes.
POSSIBILITY TO:
• Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Adhere to legal and defensive driving practices.
• Use cleaning materials, equipment and methods according to established standards.
• Learn and apply knowledge of the schedules, procedures, and use of equipment and materials used in the janitorial job.
• Keep assigned tools and equipment in clean, working condition and with appropriate protection.
• Carrying out minor repairs.
• Monitor and report the need for major maintenance and repairs to equipment and facilities.
• Understand and set schedules and schedules.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to student assistants.
• Understand and apply safety rules and procedures that apply to all aspects of the job.
• Understand and apply NCAA standards to facilities and equipment used in athletic competitions.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
One year of general experience as a property manager.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver's license required. Certificate of safety at work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work includes indoor and outdoor environments; subjected to frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, chemical fumes and adverse weather conditions.
